There are seasons of life where we search for answers everywhere except within ourselves.
Smaran: A Return to Self was created for the moments when you need somewhere quiet to return to. 🪷
The word Smaran speaks to remembrance — and at its core, this reflective journal is exactly that: an invitation to remember.
Not who the world expects you to be.
Not the version of yourself shaped entirely by obligation, survival or other people’s expectations.
You. 🤍
Through reflections inspired by stories, teachings and figures within Sanātana Dharma, Smaran explores themes of identity, courage, surrender, devotion, resilience and becoming.
The pages do not tell you what to think.
Instead, they ask you to pause.
To notice.
To question.
To write honestly. 🪷
Figures such as Ganesha, Shiva, Krishna, Durga and Hanuman become more than stories we have heard before. Their journeys become mirrors through which we can examine our own.
Where am I resisting change?
What am I carrying that no longer belongs to me?
What does devotion look like in my own life?
What would happen if I trusted myself again?
There is no correct way to complete Smaran. You can move through it from beginning to end, open to the page that calls to you, sit with one reflection for several days or return to an entry months later and discover that your answer has changed.
Because you have changed.
Smaran is not a journal about becoming someone new.
It is about returning to the parts of yourself that may have become quiet along the way.

A return to reflection.
A return to remembrance.
A return to self. 🪷🤍
